Innovation Hubs and Spaces in Africa- IAOIP Innova-con Congress 2019 (Disruption)

Abstract

Innovation hubs and spaces (incubators, centers, labs and technology parks are springing across Africa, North and Sub-Saharan. The presentation reviews some of these hubs and gives examples of Tech/Science parks (“Technopoles” in French) and similar structures, to foster entrepreneurship, innovation and launch new technologies across the continent, all based on the author’s consulting assignments funded by the UN agencies, the EU external Aid program, and other international institutions for economic development.
